Austrian urban art and graffiti illustrator Nychos uses his artistic prowess to slice up and dissect people, animals, and cartoon/film characters with indescribable graphic precision. Having grown up the son of hunter, he has taken what he was exposed to all of his life and pushed it to a playful extreme, using his talent and technical focus to peel open these deathless characters and fill them with the substance of life.
Aside from the streets and alleyways of Vienna, Nychos’ paintings and drawings have appeared in galleries all around the world, including a handful of solo exhibitions in Turino, Detroit, New York, San Francisco, Singapore, Paris and more. His dynamic use of color and depth paired with his anatomical accuracy gives each illustration an unnerving, although alluring shock-factor that has audiences studying them to down to their most minute detail.
Aside from adorning the world with his dissection art pieces, Nychos is also the founder of the Rabbit Eye Movement (REM); an art space, shop and agency dedicated to connecting and promoting urban artists both national and international. The REM Art Space serves as a multi-purpose platform for these artists and provides a space for exhbitions.
“I created the ‘Rabbit Eye Movement’ as an homage to all the “Rabbits” out there who are active in the Urban Art Movement. It doesn’t matter what kind of mission they are following.”
