Alexander Ridha, aka Boys Noize is a German DJ and electronic music producer known for his unique and innovative fusions of genres and styles. Having been in the game since 2004, his earliest works were released through labels such as International Deejay Gigolos Records, Kitsuné Music and Turbo Recordings. In 2005, however, Noize decided to establish his own imprint, Boysnoize Records, as a way of retaining artistic freedom in his production. Since then, he has become internationally recognized for his boundary-pushing experimentation, having been awarded with the Independent Music Award in 2010, as well as 3 years in a row as Best Electronic Artist on Beatport.

For his latest project, Noize teamed up with acclaimed visual artist, Susboy and film director, Lil Internet in order to produce an immersive visual experience for “2 Live” off of his latest album Mayday, released last May. The video is an unfamiliar love story of sorts, following a young couple as they make their way through the streets of Mexico City. The city’s religious iconography and historical architecture in juxtaposition with the crazy anime malls and market stands offering bootleg electronics and illegal steroids creates a unique atmosphere for the narrative. From there, the story slowly progresses into an indescribable hyper-dimensional ride through the visual stylings of Susboy, accompanying the couple as they embark on a hypnotic virtual-reality journey together. The video is an embodiment of Noize’s belief that true love will continue to prevail despite the hardships and political uncertainties we live in. See the video for “2 Live” below.

In additional news, Boys Noize has also announced that he will be going on a European tour in 2017, the flyer for which can be found below. More as we learn.
