When visiting France, no longer must you wait to arrive at the landmarks to experience the rich, artistic history that people travel the globe for. Thanks to the national state-owned rail service of France, artwork is being brought to the railways for people to enjoy during everyday commutes. The series of artworks, titled Art In Transit, began in May of 2012 and now has several trains with unique themes such as Camille Pissarro’s Morning, Sun, Claude Monet’s Blue Water Lilies, impressionist artwork from the Musée d’Orsay and, most notably, the decor of the Palace of Versailles.
