The Sound Within is a five-day, songwriter and producer-led retreat designed to move the songs, soundtracks, and electronic music tracks you’ve been carrying for months, or even years, from idea to finished work.

This isn’t just for producers, it is for people with music in their hearts that is waiting to be expressed. Whether your calling is singer-songwriter, bass music, sound healing or ambient soundtracks, this retreat will provide you with the space to create what is within.

If you’ve been putting a project, track or album off, waiting for the ‘right time’, or stuck inside the all too familiar wheel of perfectionism, this retreat is built to cut through that fog and give you the time, focus, tools, and support to finally release your music.

This isn’t a passive conference or an online course. It’s an active creative container where lessons from experienced producers meet long, protected studio time and deep creative coaching. Over five days you’ll:

• Take targeted production and songwriting lessons with seasoned producers and performers.

• Enter focused work blocks to write, arrange, and produce — with mentors available for immediate feedback.

• Join soul discovery workshops designed to break creative blocks and unlock new ideas.

• Learn professional strategies for artist branding, social media promotion, & networking to help your music finds its audience.

You’ll leave with real output: vocal tracks, sound journeys, or a finished release — plus the systems to continue releasing confidently.

Julia Nunes is relentlessly personal. Her powerhouse cello-like voice and thought provoking lyrics are why people stick around for decades. She combines synths, acoustic guitar, and stacks of vocal harmonies to make genre bending music. Ethereal Country. Sonic Monet Paintings, Tender Bangers.

As a person and in her music, Julia is captivatingly earnest, and her voice holds the sound of a mountain cave, a hollow wind that welcomes you to rest, to dance with your shadow, and to sing along.

ENTHEO

Entheo is a visionary music producer, singer-songwriter, and DJ whose sound bridges the worlds of ambient, electronic, acoustic, and conscious pop. With over a decade of releases, remixes, and collaborations, his music serves as both medicine and mirror, inviting listeners into deeper harmony with themselves and the natural order of the Universe.

At this retreat, Entheo brings his passion for sonic alchemy and creative awakening to help artists access their flow of inspiration, to refine their production craft, and translate their inner world into beauty. His mission is simple: to awaken through music, and to remind us that every note can align us with the infinite.

XIAN

Matt Xian is a musician, podcaster, creative director, and founder of TIMEWHEEL, a non-profit record label based in San Antonio, Texas. Xian has over 15 years of experience in releasing music, and art/branding/social direction for world tier artists, films, organizations and companies.

On his podcast, Matt has interviewed some of the world’s most talented creators and freely shared the best strategies for artistic expression and meaning making.

Matt is also a practitioner and teacher of Yoga and Meditation, and has also dedicated over a decade of his life to studying these practices and how they enhance our creativity. Matt’s passion for these systems began as a personal journey towards healing and self-discovery. Over time, he found that the practices not only helped him connect with his inner self but also allowed him to access deeper levels of his creative potential.

This retreat is made for musicians and producers who already have some experience with music production — you know your DAW and you’ve started projects before. You’re not a beginner just learning the software for the first time; you’re an artist who needs dedicated time, guidance, and a proven process to finally finish and release the music you keep dreaming about.

• Independent producers, musicians, and vocalists with unfinished tracks.

By the end of the week you will have one or more of the following:

• A finished track or export-ready stems.

• A practical release plan (timeline, assets, and promotional steps).

• New creative tools and rituals to overcome blocks.

• Connections with fellow artists and mentors for future collaboration.

• Experience level: Intermediate (basic production experience required)
• What to bring: Laptop with your DAW and project files, headphones, any instruments you play; chargers and backups. We’ll provide shared studio gear and some microphones. More TBA.
  
  
  

Q: I’m not a pro — is this for me? A: If you know your DAW, have started projects, and want to move from idea to finished work, yes. This retreat assumes some production familiarity and focuses on finishing and releasing.

Q: Will I have one-on-one time with instructors? A: Yes. Each mentor holds open studio hours and there are scheduled feedback sessions. 

Q: What if I don’t finish a track? A: Many participants will leave with completed tracks; others leave with export-ready stems and a concrete plan to finalize. Either way, you’ll walk away with momentum and a clear path forward.

Q: Are meals and lodging included? A: Meals are included. There are 3 rooms that are bookable (First come first serve), once those are booked community beds inside the retreat will be offered. There is also room to camp or bring an RV (no hookups available).
