We are pleased to announce that this week’s installment of the TIMEWHEEL Radio Show series will be hosted by none other than electronic music experimentalist and pioneer, Alfred Darlington, aka Daedelus. A true inspiration to all of us here, Daedelus has been influencing the sphere of electronic music production for nearly 20 years now. Since his debut release of Where The Day Takes You, a split-mixtape created in collaboration with Jabari Mayes in 1998, Daedelus has steered clear of cliché with his unique and inimitable approach to creating sound. Having collaborated with an amazing line up of artists including Madlib, Flying Lotus and MF Doom, as well as a handful of respected imprints such as Brainfeeder, Ninja Tune and his own Magical Properties, Daedelus has become a deep-seated icon within the beat music community.
Daedelus’ dynamic style and tendency to dabble beyond the rigidity of modern music production has earned him a spot among the most inventive and exploratory musical talents of the 21st century, and we are proud to have an opportunity to showcase his musical mix in our Radio Show series.
