Expansions of Q’s Anthony Mendoza Martins [ark] and Thomas Contreras [40hands] had the opportunity to venture out to the Golden State for a collab session with LA’s Nicholas Semrad. In their excavation, the three diverse talents unearthed a 13-track collection of ineffable tonality, aptly titled RATIO.
With Semrad on synth and Martins and Contreras manning the mixing, mastering and beat production, it is fascinating to witness the way in which their individual artistry, instrument proficiency and musical unpredictability conjures forth an impacting composition that continues to reveal more hidden gems and dynamic subtitles with every play through.
